Yellowstone Full Day Private
Lewis and Clark Wildlife River
Clark's Return on the Yellowstone River
Yellowstone Family
This is an excellent full-day river trip, which follows the path of Lewis and Clark and the Rocky Mountain Fur Trade. An impressive aspect of these safaris is that, while we are close to civilization and convenience, this is essentially a wilderness experience in a single day event. We see very few, if any, other people while on the river. River trips are also available for multiple days (variable rate). Most frequently we float the Missouri River Headwaters. We see lots of wildlife, share tales of Lewis and Clark and the "Mountain Men", visit little known historic sites, read from the "Journals" and examine artifacts and maps associated with the exploration and development of this region.

The boat we use (this is not a raft!) has a flat bottom and floor, chairs with arm and backrests, and is very stable. The trip is appropriate for children of all ages and we can accommodate many physical disabilities.

We float through a region of intense natural and cultural history and diversity. Much more so than the "Wild and Scenic" Missouri river, all things considered, this region gives the closest approximation we can experience today to what the members of the Lewis and Clark expedition experienced. The river is much more intimate and simply provides better wildlife habitat. These trips are among our favorites! Wildlife, cultural history, new experience, seasonal swimming and wilderness solitude all in a single day event!
